(N.B.: The liturgical observance of the vigil of the Immaculate Conception was suppressed by Pius XII in 1955.)

Under the 1954 rubrics, at private (low) Masses the Mass of the vigil of the Immaculate Conception may be said in place of the feast of St. Ambrose at the choice of the celebrant. Proper Mass.
