Today is the anticipated 6th Sunday after Epiphany under the 1954 (semi-double) rubrics. Under the Divino afflatu rubrics, whenever there are not enough Sundays in November before Advent for the Sundays after Epiphany that could not be observed before Septuagesima to be celebrated, that Sunday must be anticipated on the Saturday before Septuagesima Sunday with all rights and privileges of an ordinary Sunday.
Mass: Proper Mass. Green. Gloria. Gradual/Alleluia. Credo. Preface of the Most Holy Trinity. Ite. Commemoration of Ss. Faustinus and Jovita, Mm. 3rd prayer A cunctis for the intercession of the saints.
Office: Ferial office. Green. Matins of 3 nocturns of 9 lessons (1st nocturn = Incipit Epistola ad Hebraeos for the 6th Sunday after Epiphany, 2nd and 3rd nocturns = of the anticipated Sunday) with responsories of the anticipated Sunday. Te Deum. Psalms and antiphons of Saturday. All else from the Saturday office per annum. Proper Benedictus antiphon. Collect of the anticipated Sunday. Commemoration of Ss.
