Today is the 2nd day in the octave of the Immaculate Conception under the 1954 (semi-double) rubrics.

Mass: The resumed Mass of the 2nd Sunday of Advent, impeded yesterday by the feast of the Immaculate Conception, is obligatory today as the parochial (principal) Mass in all parish churches, as well as at the principal conventual Mass in cathedrals, monasteries, etc. Violet. Omit Gloria. Omit Alleluia. Omit Credo. Common Preface. Benedicamus. Commemoration of the octave of the Immaculate Conception. 3rd prayer Deus qui corda of the Holy Ghost.

If additional private (low) Masses are offered today, they are of the day within the octave of the Immaculate Conception. Mass as on the feast. White. Gloria. Gradual/Alleluia. Credo. Preface of Our Lady (et te in Conceptione immaculata). Ite. Commemoration of the resumed 2nd Sunday of Advent (same orations as the feria). 3rd prayer Deus qui corda of the Holy Ghost.
